Duchess Meghan reunites with Instagram fan

OHMYGOSSIP — Duchess Meghan reunited with a fan she used to talk to on Instagram.
The former ‘Suits’ actress – who is expecting a baby with her husband Prince Harry – is currently touring New Zealand and was thrilled when she saw Hannah standing in the crowd at the Viaduct Harbour in Auckland on Tuesday (30.10.18).
Hannah held a sign that read, ‘It’s Hannah from Instagram’, prompting Meghan to come over to her. She then handed Meghan a letter, and later Hannah took to Twitter and gushed: “#royaltour MY LIFE HAS REACHED ITS PEAK (sic)”
Speaking to New Zealand’s 1 NEWS about the messages she used to exchange with Meghan, Hannah said: “She said, ‘Thank you for getting in touch,’ and then she gave me a hug and said she would read my letter that I gave her. We used to have have conversations and stuff on there. She would tell me to do well at university and encourage me to be myself.”
Meanwhile, during a recent trip to the Sydney Opera House in Australia, Prince Harry introduced his wife Meghan to her mini me.
Someone in the crowd told Meghan they thought Sethunya Gibbons looked like her, and she replied: “I was literally about to say the same thing. You remind me so much of myself when I was younger. And I love your shirt.”
And Sethunya spoke of the family’s excitement at meeting the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
She said: “When Harry came over to me, he came over first, he said ‘girls can do anything’ because that’s what it says on my shirt. Then he asked me if I wanted to meet his wife so I said ‘yes’ and then he asked me if I wanted him to take a photo of me and Meghan.”

Nicole Kidman’s car gets flat tyre

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicole Kidman nearly missed the ‘Boy Erased’ premiere after her car got a flat tyre.
The 51-year-old actress was on the way to the Los Angeles premiere of her latest movie when the car she was in went over a pothole and ended up with a flat tyre.
Explaining what happened, she said: “I got to this premiere, but I had a flat tyre. We hit a pot hole, but we made it! We drove on the flat tyre for 10 minutes to get here.”
However, there was another snag – as it was actually her husband Keith Urban’s car but Nicole hadn’t quite told him how she “wrecked the rim” of the car.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she added: “I have not told him. I will be telling him. Anyway, I wrecked the rim.”
Earlier this year, Nicole decided to take some time away from the spotlight to recharge her batteries, spending time over the summer months with her mom, her husband Keith and their children, Sunday, 10, and Faith, seven.
Speaking before the summer break, she shared: “We’re beach people. We love swimming in the ocean. We also love camping, and we may go glamping. For my [older] daughter’s birthday in July, we’ll get a big blow-up slide and have a pool party. My mom’s coming from Australia, so I’m going to take her to the theater in New York. Also my sister and I are going to take our little girls on a hiking trip in Tasmania, which is a great place to hike.”

Anais Gallagher enrols at art college

OHMYGOSSIP — Anais Gallagher has enrolled at art college.
The 18-year-old model – who is the daughter of Noel Gallagher and his ex-wife Meg Matthews – has turned her focus to becoming a photographer and is learning the craft at the Camberwell College of Arts in south London.
She told The Sun’s Bizarre column: “I’m just powering on with university and putting most work on hold at the moment so I can focus on my photography studies. I’m not sure particularly what I want to do yet but I’m trying to go down that route.”
Meanwhile, Anais previously insisted that although people know her name because of the success of her father, she is “proud” to work hard and “sustain” her career achievements.
She said: “I think it’s tough for me because in no way am I here by my own right. I’m here with this platform because of my parents … People say, ‘You only did that because of your dad’. That’s 100 per cent true, but I’ve only sustained where I am because I’m me. I’m a hard worker and I have my own mind. Like when I wrote about not being able to vote in the general election for Teen Vogue. A lot of teachers said I had a pretty face and a lucky last name and that I wasn’t intelligent enough to write, or couldn’t because I’m dyslexic. But that was nothing to do with my name. I wrote it myself and it was published. I was immensely proud of myself.”

Charlie Lawson gets emotional opening up about suffering stroke

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlie Lawson got emotional as he discussed suffering a stroke on stage – revealing he “went deaf” during the terrifying experience.
The ‘Coronation Street’ star – who plays no-nonsense Jim McDonald in the ITV soap – broke down as he opened up about experiencing a transient ischemic attack (TIA), also known as a mini stroke, on the opening night of play ‘Rebus’ earlier this month, and he “knew something awful had happened”.
Speaking on ‘BBC Breakfast’, he said: “I was looking at John and I was aware very quickly that something was wrong. I went deaf, the colour changed, my vision changed.
“Sorry … I’m finding it quite tricky talking about this.
“The next thing was Big John [Stahl, who plays Big Ger] took his arm around me and took me off stage.
“And 20 minutes later, I knew something awful had happened. The producer was there … people who mattered, who cared about the piece were there. I went home, passed out, went to sleep, had all the scans and revealed I’d had a stroke.”
Charlie – whose hearing has since returned – missed the following evening’s performance of ‘Rebus’, in which he plays the titular inspector, but returned to the stage the next day, and admits he is yet to “deal with” what happened.
He said: “I haven’t had time to deal with it, to sit down and think because two days later I was back on stage.
“I was aware for about two or three seconds that something was about to happen – I could hardly see Cathy [Tyson] and I thought John was messing me about, I thought he was saying lines from a different play.
“I’m tough as old boots and here I am sitting in a live studio, bleating.”
Charlie also admitted his ‘Corrie’ comeback storyline – which saw Jim return to Weatherfield with lover Hannah Gilmore (Hannah Ellis Ryan), who pretended she was his and wife Liz McDonald’s (Beverley Callard) dead daughter Katie – “might’ve been different” if show bosses had asked him to return before he signed up to ‘Rebus’.
He added: “For those of you who thought it was complete nonsense, they asked me to come back for a year but I’d committed to ‘Rebus’.
“Had they asked me earlier when they’d got the storyline together, it might’ve been a different story.”

Anjli Mohindra nearly quit acting after Coronation Street rejection

OHMYGOSSIP — Anjli Mohindra nearly quit acting after she failed to land a part on ‘Coronation Street’.
The 28-year-old actress – who recently starred as Nadiya in BBC One drama ‘Bodyguard’ – thought her career was finished when she was turned down for a role on the ITV soap, but she later landed the part of stroppy teenager Shareen on the show in 2006 and her career has gone from strength to strength.
She said: “I went in for a different part and had three or four stages of gruelling auditions … well, they weren’t gruelling, they were really brilliant.
“But the wait in between … and I got down to the last two and I didn’t get it. I thought, ‘That is it, I’m hanging up my actor boots. That’s me, my career is over.’
“I then got offered a smaller part in it and had such an amazing time.”
Anjli had to pinch herself on the cobbles because she couldn’t believe she had landed a role in the long-running soap.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, she added: “That was the most pinch me experience being in something like ‘Corrie’, because it’s something you grow up on, and your family love, and it’s on every day. It’s a real treat.”
Since ‘Corrie’, Anjli has gone on to appear in ‘The Sarah Jane Adventures’, ‘Holby City’, ‘Casualty’, and ‘Bancroft’ before a starring role in BBC drama ‘Bodyguard’ as terrorist Nadiya alongside Richard Madden, but she almost turned down the part because she didn’t want to “perpetuate the seemingly Islamophobic narrative”.
She recently wrote: “When I was first invited to audition for Nadia in Bodyguard, my response was simple: “I can’t do it”. I know I shouldn’t judge – I’m an actor and that involves breathing life into and humanising a character on the page – but I didn’t want to perpetuate the seemingly Islamophobic narrative (something which, when the first episode aired, viewers accused the show of doing).
“However, as my agent pointed out to me, you never know what’s coming with a Jed Mecurio show. Once I clocked the end game, I thought to myself ‘this feels closer to the truth’.
“These terror groups are funded, organised, even – however inadvertently – radicalised by people of power in the West. Being constantly excluded, alienated and persecuted can push people to extremes. Anyone (Muslim or otherwise) can be driven to inhumane actions if they’re constantly vilified and dehumanised.
“And THAT’s what made me sign for the part. This character felt real – she wasn’t a plot device. I was able to give her a personal backstory which I then felt compelled to bring to life. The role wasn’t black or white (or even brown) – it was multi-layered and complex. Just like life. (sic)”

Ed Sheeran to perform intimate London gig

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran is to play an intimate gig at Islington’s Assembly Hall in London.
The 27-year-old singer is set to perform songs from his three, chart-topping albums for less than 1,000 lucky fans at the venue on November 16 and the only way to be in the audience is to try and win tickets through UK station Hits Radio.
Hits Radio presenter Sarah Jane Crawford said: “Ed fills stadiums nowadays with jaw-dropping solo shows but remains a man of the people. This is the absolute chance of a life-time to see him up-close and personal. Let’s crown him the Mayor of London for the night.”
Tickets to see the ‘Shape of You’ singer will be available to win every hour on both shows all week on both Breakfast with Gethin, Gemma and Dave and Wes on the Homerun.
The ‘Perfect’ hitmaker announced the gig following he revealed that he has been effected by his massive fame and pressure within the music industry – and admitted that his writing sessions with Jess Glynne turned into therapy.
The British pop stars have both been affected by the spotlight and when they were working on the song ‘Thursday’ in the studio, which is about the pressures placed upon social media users to look a certain way, talk soon turned to coping with being in the public eye.
Jess, 28, spilled: “Me and Ed chatted about the pressure of the industry, how it’s changed our lives and how we deal with things.
“It was interesting talking to another artist who has had uber-success because he’s experienced certain things people outside of the limelight don’t understand. So it was good to have the perspective of somebody who gets it. It turned into a bit of therapy session – that’s where the song (‘Thursday’) came from.”

KISS announce first dates for farewell tour

OHMYGOSSIP — KISS have announced the first dates of their ‘End of the World’ farewell tour.
The legendary America rock band are to call time on their 45-year career with a final trip around the globe which will kick off on January 31 in Vancouver, Canada, at the Rogers Arena and they have promised the KISS Army the greatest shows they’ve ever played.
In a statement, the band said: “All that we have built and all that we have conquered over the past four decades could never have happened without the millions of people worldwide who’ve filled clubs, arenas and stadiums over those years. This will be the ultimate celebration for those who’ve seen us and a last chance for those who haven’t. KISS Army, we’re saying goodbye on our final tour with our biggest show yet and we’ll go out the same way we came in … Unapologetic and Unstoppable.”
KISS – who are made up of Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer – admitted they are doing the tour because “a thank you is in order” and celebrate their 45-year career.
Speaking to Billboard, guitarist Stanley said: “This time out is far beyond what we have done before, not just because of technology. It is because the meaning of this tour is so, so great because we have been an indelible part of people’s lives, but guess what – people have been an indelible part of our lives. A thank you is in order, but also one last time to live up to what everybody says we have been and what we are.”

Nikki Bella not ready to date

OHMYGOSSIP — Nikki Bella isn’t “ready” to date following her split from John Cena.
The 34-year-old professional wrestler split with the ‘Blockers’ star earlier this year just weeks before they were due to tie the knot, and whilst rumours of a reconciliation have surrounded the pair for months, Nikki has insisted she isn’t ready to jump into a relationship as she’s still “trying to heal”.
She said: “It feels like, you know, when you get married and the next day people are like, ‘When are you having kids?’ and it’s like, ‘I just got married.’ I feel like it’s the same thing. When you become single, it’s like, ‘Oh, are you dating?!’ Honestly, I’m so not interested. I’m just not ready yet. I’m trying to heal, and I’m not healed yet.”
And although she might not be ready, her twin sister and fellow wrestler Brie Bella has already tried to set her up on a blind date – with negative results.
Speaking to People magazine, Brie said: “I did set her up on a blind date. You’ll see it on ‘Total Bellas’, but I got in a lot of trouble.”
Nikki had previously insisted she and John, 41, had remained good friends in the wake of their split, but said last month she hasn’t spoken to him in a while.
She said: “He’s doing him and I’m doing me.
“I slowly feel like I’m doing that. I think it’s happiness, and just fully being happy and that’s what I want.”
The couple briefly reunited after their initial break-up before calling it off for good, and Nikki recently said she is finding it “scary” trying to find herself, but she’s enjoying pushing herself to do new things.
She added: “I just feel like I’m at that age where I’m discovering who I really am and what I want out of life and just, like, independence.
“Is it scary and you do have these moments of like, ‘What am I doing?’ – and fear. I just kind of am liking the challenge.”

Alexis Ren: I’m developing feelings for Alan Bersten

OHMYGOSSIP — Alexis Ren has confirmed she is “developing feelings” for her ‘Dancing With the Stars’ professional partner Alan Bersten.
The 21-year-old model has been romantically linked to the professional dancer since they’ve been working on the show, and whilst she recently played down dating rumours, she has now admitted she does in fact have feelings for him.
Speaking in a preview of their interview which will air during Monday’s (29.10.18) episode of the dance competition, the beauty said: “Alan, he’s awesome. He’s super outgoing. He’s definitely been a really good reflection for me, to not take myself too seriously … we’re cute dorks.
“It’s so much fun to dance with someone who you have a connection with. It’s almost like time slows down. We communicate not just through our steps or our movements but with our hearts too. I am developing feelings for Alan, and I didn’t see this one coming. It happened really quickly though, so I think I’m still trying to process it.”
The show’s hosts, Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews, have already referred to Alexis and Alan’s “chemistry”, but when asked directly if the pair are dating, Alexis previously played coy with her response.
She said: “I’m not answering that … I can barely get through [these] Mondays!”
And Alan was similarly vague about their current relationship status.
He said: “Again, we’re taking it one day at a time here.”
Her gushing comments come after she praised Alan’s “energy” whilst avoiding the question of a romance between them.
She said: “I mean, we’re just, we’re just so happy to be here and like I love him so much and I love his energy so much and we’ve been so focused on the competition.”
Whilst Alan added: “I feel like the experience is once in a lifetime and we’re just making the most of it and really just going out there and having fun.”

Tiffany Haddish wants an ’empire’

OHMYGOSSIP — Tiffany Haddish wants to “create an empire”.
The ‘Nobody’s Fool’ actress has said she’d love to be earning enough money to pay the people who work for her a whopping sum, so that not only is she set for life, but her employees can “put their kids through college” too.
She said: “I want to create this empire. You know, where people that work with me and for me are able to put their kids through college, feed their families, have generational wealth. I just I feel like I can do that.
“And I see that and like if Lucille Ball can own a studio, why can’t Tiffany Haddish own a studio. You know?”
The 38-year-old star says that whilst she didn’t start getting picked up by Hollywood until last year, her sudden rise to fame is down to the way she “was thinking” at the time.
Tiffany claims she thought she “wasn’t good enough” when her career started, and says that by shifting her viewpoint, she “started to visualise and see” what she wanted for her future, and was eventually able to get it.
Speaking during an appearance on ‘The Dr Oz Show’ on Monday (29.10.18), the ‘Night School’ star said: “I didn’t start popping in the eyes of Hollywood until 2017. [I kept thinking] Maybe I wasn’t good enough, thinking maybe, you know, oh, I -I’m a girl, I shouldn’t do this.”
Meanwhile, despite people telling her she’s a “superstar”, Tiffany recently joked that she doesn’t feel like one because her bank balance doesn’t reflect the label.
She said: “I don’t feel like a superstar, even though lots of people tell me that I am. My bank account sure doesn’t reflect that!
“And my family haven’t gotten the memo – I am still regular to them. I was at a store recently and this woman was following me and then she just started screaming, ‘Oh my God! It’s really you!’ and I was like, ‘Hey, hey, calm down, lady! I am just a regular person. I poop just like you.’ ”

Kelly Brook: Katya Jones shouldn’t joke about cheating scandal

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelly Brook has hit out at Katya Jones for “making fun” of her cheating scandal with Seann Walsh on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 38-year-old model competed on the BBC Latin and ballroom dancing competition herself in 2007, and has said she was shocked to see Seann and his professional partner Katya joking about the scandal in which they were seen locking lips after a night out when Seann was in a relationship and Katya is married to fellow dancer Neil Jones.
The couple were booted from the show over the weekend after failing to impress with their dance, and Kelly has said that whilst it’s okay for the public to make light of the situation, it isn’t okay for them to joke around because they’ve hurt their partners in the process.
She said: “Now see, she can’t make fun of it. But we can make fun it. But she can’t really make fun of it. Someone was really hurt during that whole – well two people were really hurt by it – their partners. So I dunno, I found it really awkward watching them.”
During the results show on Sunday (28.10.18), comedian Seann teased that the “last few weeks” haven’t been as fun as the rest of his time on the show, whilst Katya thanked him for always making her laugh.
After the show, Seann took to social media to thank Katya for teaching him how to dance, and Katya then replied: “People can’t wait for your tour now that you have so much material for it.”
Whilst the ‘Celebrity Juice’ star was appearing on the show with professional partner Brendan Cole – who was axed from the show earlier this year – she says the experience was much more “PG”, even though she knows “people were hooking up behind the scenes”.
Speaking to JK on Heart radio, Kelly said: “It was [PG]. Well I thought it was. I went in just for the dancing. I was very naïve. But I know people were like hooking up behind the scenes but I didn’t really see it and it wasn’t really in the press that much.”

John Krasinki ‘blessed’ to have strong family

OHMYGOSSIP — John Krasinski feels “so blessed” to have a “secure” family with his wife Emily Blunt.
The 39-year-old actor has daughters Hazel, four, and Violet, two, with the actress, and has said that whilst they both had a great year with their careers – with John directing and starring alongside his spouse in ‘A Quiet Place’ – his top priority will always be his family.
He said: “Family comes first no matter what, and that’s non-negotiable. We have been working a lot this year and we feel so blessed, but at the same time our kids come first and being together comes first.”
Whilst Emily, 35, added that their “beautiful” brood is the reason why she often makes sure to take “big stretches” between her projects so she can spend plenty of time at home before she heads off to work again.
Speaking to People magazine, she said: “[Family is a] beautiful, secure foundation. Family is the foundation for why we are able to go off and have fun and have these incredible experiences. I try to take big stretches between [projects] to be with the kids. I’m not going to work until next June and finished my last one in September.”
Meanwhile, Emily recently claimed she fell in love with John “disarmingly soon”, as she wasn’t even looking for love when she met the star, despite getting engaged just 10 months into their romance.
She said: “We were discussing how much I was enjoying being single.
“And then [my friend] goes, ‘Oh, my God, there’s my friend John.’ And that was it. We were engaged within 10 months, but I think we probably knew before that.”
John also previously admitted that Emily is way out of his league, saying he “married up” when he tied the knot with the actress.
The former ‘The Office’ alum conceded: “I married up, and don’t I know it.”

Jim Carrey channels his ‘pain’ through his career

OHMYGOSSIP — Jim Carrey uses his career to turn his “pain” into “something beautiful”.
The 56-year-old actor and comedian has said he finds his career as a Hollywood star to be somewhat therapeutic, as he can channel anything he’s feeling into his characters in order to make something other people can appreciate.
He said: “It’s unfathomable to me that life somehow ended up in this direction and at this place of, you know, being able to do something – alchemise our pain and turn it into something beautiful and be recognised as well for it is an incredible thing. But, you know, right now my job has always been, I thought, to free people from concern and that is part of the job of a comedian, an artist, but it’s also his job to focus on things that are problematic, you know? At times of trouble.”
Jim also praised the diversity of his job in his two most recent roles, as Jeff the kids TV host on ‘Kidding’, to Dr. Robotnik, the villain in the upcoming feature film adaptation of video game series ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, he said: “I get to go from playing the nicest person in the world to the smartest person in the world who is completely not the nicest person in the world. So it’s nice, it’s very diverse!”
Although he loves his career, the ‘Mask’ star previously admitted he has been noticeably absent from blockbuster movies in recent years because he “didn’t like what was happening” in Hollywood.
He said: “I just didn’t want to be in the business anymore.
“I didn’t like what was happening, the corporations taking over and all that. And maybe it’s because I felt pulled toward a different type of creative outlet and I really liked the control of painting – of not having a committee in the way telling me what the idea must be to appeal to a four-quadrant whatever.”

Nicki Minaj wants to end Cardi B feud

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicki Minaj wants to end her feud with Cardi B.
The ‘Chun Li’ rapper has been at loggerheads with the 26-year-old rap star for several months, with the beef coming to blows in September when they attended the Harper’s Bazaar ICONs party, but Nicki has now insisted she’s “perfectly fine” with leaving their feud alone.
Addressing Cardi on her Beats 1 radio show ‘Queen Radio’, Nicki said: “There’s so many things I can say but I don’t. I love where I am in my life. I was fine with leaving everything good. We can just be happy. There’s nothing that really makes me not like you like that, you know what I’m saying?
“I’m perfectly fine with never talking about this again – and me never bringing you up again and you never bringing me up again. I hear the shots you taking, but I’m a rapper, remember that.”
But despite seemingly wanting to bury the hatchet, the 35-year-old star then slammed the ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker for making her “look like a bad person”, after her sister Hennessey recently accused Nicki of leaking Cardi’s phone number.
She added: “And then you have your sister calling me a crackhead and leak numbers? … You can’t control your sister, but you want me to control millions of fans? I’ve never leaked a number in my life and y’all continue to lie on me to make me look like a bad person.”
Nicki has also alleged that her close pal Rah Ali went to blows with Cardi, and claimed Rah punched the rapper “eight, 10 times” in the head.
Speaking on her show, she said: “Rah really beat Cardi’s a** bad. Rah beat you so bad, I was mad at Rah. The punches was so hard in your head, I was like mad at Rah … but Rah didn’t like her attitude, the way she came at me. Rah said it looked like she was going to put her hand on me.
“I swear to God on my life, Rah held her head and punched her, like, eight, 10 times. The hardest punches you’ve ever heard in your life.”

Kourtney Kardashian and Luka Sabbat split

OHMYGOSSIP — Kourtney Kardashian has split from Luka Sabbat.
The 39-year-old reality star – who has Mason, eight, Penelope, five, and Reign, three, with former partner Scott Disick – had never confirmed her reported romance with Luka, 20, but it now seems she’s put an end to their “fun fling” as the pair are no longer seeing each other.
A source told People magazine: “Kourtney is no longer seeing Luka. It was a fun fling for her, but not a big deal. She has more important things to focus on, like her kids and work. Kourtney is doing great. She is looking forward to all the fun holidays.”
The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star began seeing Luka following her split from previous toy boy Younes Bendjima, and although they shared an age gap of almost two decades, Kourtney’s friends were said to be a fan of Luka.
An insider previously said: “All of their friends know she’s head over heels for Luka. None of her friends liked Younes, and they all love Luka even though he’s only 20! They think he’s good for her, and he’s a very down-to-earth and good guy.”
Kourtney’s romance with Luka was said to be a nice change of pace for the star, who had “distanced herself from her sisters” during her romance with 25-year-old Younes.
A source said: “Kourtney was always so private and closed off when it came to Younes, and that really distanced herself from her sisters. Things are fine with them now and I’m sure they’ll get even more back to normal now that it seems he’s out of the picture for good.
“This could be a really positive thing for her relationship with her family.”
Kourtney split with Younes in August following a year and a half long romance which began in December 2016. Before that, she had dated Scott Disick on and off for almost a decade, from 2006 to 2015.
