OHMYGOSSIP — Halsey’s engagement was “really special”.
The ‘Without Me’ singer has confirmed Avan Jogia recently popped the question while they were on holiday in Barcelona, Spain, but they haven’t had much chance to enjoy the change in their relationship status because of the ‘Victorious’ star’s working commitments.
Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Halsey said: “It’s kind of like where we first started hanging out, so it’s really special to us… I wasn’t sure that I was ready, but I was also kind of like, ‘You’re literally the most amazing, smartest, hottest, nicest person I’ve ever met in my life, so please don’t go anywhere.’ I’m trying to figure it out.
“It was really sweet. Immediately afterward, (Avan) left to go shoot a show for like six months in Canada. I was like, ‘OK, bye.’ We haven’t really had like the chance to be like ‘engaged,’ you know what I mean, but he’s coming home, and I think we’re gonna get to have our time then.”
Halsey – who has three-year-old son Ender with former partner Alev Aydin – also shared that she never had a desire to get married before meeting her now fiance last year.
She added: “I never thought that I would want to be married I just knew that I wanted to marry him and I couldn’t explain why.
“I couldn’t really understand the point of marrying just from, like, an emotional point of view. I was like, ‘Well, if you love each other, then just be together…I didn’t understand it.’ And then, I don’t know, it was just something with him where I just knew I wanted to marry him.
“I love him in such a way that I feel like we would be just as fine if we didn’t (get married). But something about that makes me wanna do it more.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Westwick is to be a father for the first time.
The former ‘Gossip Girl’ actor and his wife Amy Jackson took to Instagram on Thursday (31.10.24) to share a series of photographs showcasing the brunette beauty’s growing bump.
The post had no caption so it is currently unknown when Amy – who also has five-year-old son Andreas with former partner George Panayiotou – is due to give birth.
The happy news comes two months after the couple got married in a lavish ceremony on Italy’s Amalfi Coast.
And after tying the knot, the 32-year-old actress admitted she was excited to “build a future” with her new husband.
She gushed to People magazine: “For me, [marrying Ed] means having a life partner to adventure with, to share love and support, to create a beautiful family and to have each other’s backs throughout all of life’s moments.
“It’s about building a future together and creating endless memories, knowing that we are a team through it all.”
Ed, 37, added: “This all represents a new level of energy for a new adventure — the best one you can possibly have.
“I spent my life wondering who she would be, and then I found her.”
And the pair expressed their desire to grow “their little family” in the future, with Ed already a doting stepfather to Andrews.
Amy said at the time: “I adore how Ed is with my son Andreas, and I can’t wait to see him as a father one day too.”
Months before their wedding, the pair celebrated their engagement earlier this year with loved ones and friends at the French restaurant L’Atelier Robuchon in London.
Ed told the Daily Mail at the time: “Planning this evening has got us really excited for our wedding. It’s been so special to gather our friends and family to celebrate.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Bonneville believes ‘Downton Abbey 3’ will be a “great lasting tribute” to Dame Maggie Smith.
The 60-year-old actor – who reprises his role as the Earl of Grantham in the upcoming third big screen outing for the period drama – admitted ending the franchise has become even more “poignant” following the death of his co-star, who passed away last month at the age of 89.
Speaking to Chris Evans on his Virgin Radio UK Breakfast Show, he said: “We finished a third — and I think probably final — ‘Downton Abbey’ film this summer, which will come out next September and that is a wonderful sort of closing off of all the stories, so it’s a proper film for the fans.
“It’s very much set in the house and saying goodbye to all these characters and we obviously say goodbye to Dame Maggie, which was very poignant on screen and now in real life.
“She’ll be sorely missed. But the final film will obviously be a great lasting tribute to her.”
The death of Maggie – whose ‘Downton’ alter ego, the Dowager Countess, passed away in the second movie, 2022’s ‘Downton Abbey: A New Era’ – was announced on 27 September by her two sons, Chris Larkin and Toby Stephens.
They said in a statement: “She passed away peacefully in hospital early this morning, Friday 27th September. An intensely private person, she was with friends and family at the end. She leaves two sons and five loving grandchildren who are devastated by the loss of their extraordinary mother and grandmother.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank the wonderful staff at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for their care and unstinting kindness during her final days.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelly Osbourne was in touch with Liam Payne just days before he died.
The 40-year-old reality star was a friend with the former One Direction singer – who passed away in October at the age of 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires – and thought that he was “in a good place” before the tragedy happened.
She told this week’s edition of UsWeekly: “It hit hard. He was in a good place. He was checking on me to make sure that I was OK. ”
The former ‘Osbournes’ star – who has 23-month-old son Sidney with her partner Sid Wilson – has struggled with alcohol in the past and noted it is a “rocky road” for her but being a mother helps her from slipping back.
She said: “Most days are great, but every now and then, I’ll get one really bad day where it’s hard to pull myself out. My natural habitual instinct is to numb myself because I don’t have to see the pain and I don’t have to feel unworthy. I can just hibernate. But, you can’t do that when you have a baby. You absolutely cannot. Finding other ways of getting through those hard days can be difficult sometimes.”
Liam enjoyed huge success as part of One Direction – but he previously admitted to struggling with drink and drugs, acknowledging that his lifestyle became a “cause for concern” at one point in time.
The ‘Strip That Down’ hitmaker – who was in the band alongside Niall, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik – told the BBC: “When I was younger, I went straight in on the whisky. I tend to pick my poison early, then I stick with it until it bores me.”
Kelly is the daughter of former ‘X Factor’ judge Sharon Osbourne and Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne, and just days after the tragedy her mother claimed that he had been “let down” by the industry.

The 54-year-old actress stars alongside NFL player Travis, 35, in the FX drama series ‘Grotesquerie’ and is always asked about his private life with pop megastar Taylor, 34, but keeps shtum about all of that.
Speaking on the footballer’s ‘New Heights’ podcast, she said: “They all start it off saying, ‘We’re watching the thing. Is he the killer?’ Just to get you on the line texting them. The 32-year-old actor struck up a relationship with his ‘Wicked’ co-star Ariana Grande, 31, in July 2023 shortly before he filed for his divorce from Lilly Jay and has found it “really hard” adjusting to being linked to one of the world’s most famous pop singers.
He told GQ: “Obviously, it was a really super big year. I think there was something that was really difficult about things in your private life being commented on and looked at by the public. There were a lot of big changes in private lives that were really happening, so it’s really hard to see people who don’t know anything about what’s happening commenting on it and speculating, and then getting things wrong about the people you love. OHMYGOSSIP — Jason Earles wanted to create a “safe environment” for everyone when he was on Disney Channel.
The 47-year-old actor was considerably older than Miley Cyrus when he took on the role of her older brother Jackson Stewart on the late 2000s sitcom ‘Hannah Montana’ and following the issues discussed in ‘Quiet On Set’ – which raised allegations of a toxic and dangerous culture at rival kids’ network Nickelodeon around the same time – has admitted that he always wanted to be there for any of his castmates if they ever had a problem.
He told The Hollywood Reporter: “I just try to create an environment where we’re all sort of equals and we’re all watching out for each other. I think on both ‘Kickin It’ and ‘Hannah’, it was really well known that if you have any issues, or if anything was uncomfortable, just say something.

The 51-year-old movie star has turned his focus towards producing in recent years, and Jude has relished having more creative control over his own projects.
The London-born star told Variety: “Maybe I’m too restless.
“Maybe I like to be in control. There’s something slightly powerless about being an actor waiting to be hired. You’ll only ever get the parts offered to you that people think you fit, rather than saying, ‘I want to do this, I want to do that.’”
Jude has actually become more confident as his career has developed.
The ‘Talented Mr. Ripley’ star explained: “A big shift has been me taking the reins of my work.
“I’ve made nearly 60 films, and there’s a sense of confidence now, I suppose, in what I know I can get out of it and what a director can help me get out of it. Just having a sense of that gives you a greater sense of confidence in what you can do.
“I’d be lying if I said I’ve got nothing left to prove. I feel like I’m literally just warming up. And I’m excited about the work to come.”
Jude previously revealed that he was determined to be “taken seriously” as a young actor.

The 35-year-old actress and the former Olympian have revealed that they got engaged in New York City in late October.
Nina – who began dating Shaun back in 2020 – told Vogue magazine: “I went into shock. I just froze and stared at him.”
Shaun, 38, popped the question with a five carat diamond ring. The retired sports star also succeeded in catching his fiancee by surprise.
Nina recalled: “He said all the right things.”
Shaun disguised his true intentions by having his publicist send Nina a fake invitation for an intimate dinner with Anna Wintour, the long-time editor of Vogue.
The actress admitted: “He made the invite look so legitimate.”
Shaun and Nina have both shared the news on their own social media accounts.
The former snowboarder posted a photo of the proposal and captioned the image: “She said YES. (sic)”

Earlier this year, the loved-up couple revealed that they were ticking off a series of bucket-list ambitions together.

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Keaton has paid a glowing tribute to his former co-star Teri Garr.
The actress passed away on Tuesday (29.10.24), aged 79, after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis back in 2002, and Michael has now taken to social media to praise his ‘Mr. Mom’ co-star.
Michael, 73, wrote on Instagram: “this is a day i feared and knew was coming. Forget about how great she was as an actress and comedienne. she was a wonderful woman. not just great to work with but great to be around.
“AND go back and watch her comedic work-Man, was she great!!
“RIP girl (sic)”
Michael actually praised his former co-star earlier this year, when he was promoting ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’.
The Hollywood star also hailed Teri’s performance in ‘Young Frankenstein’, the 1974 comedy-horror film.
He told PEOPLE: “First of all, the first thing I’m going to talk about is the fabulous, and I mean fabulous legend, Teri Garr, how fantastic she is, and how sweet she is, and how much fun we had in this movie.
“Regardless of this movie, if you look at … Just go watch ‘Young Frankenstein’, man. And she’s still just so great.”
Elsewhere, Paul Feig has also paid tribute to the late actress.
The 62-year-old director admitted to being devastated by the news, describing Teri as a “legend” and “one of [his] comedy heroes”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Selena Gomez has likened her ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ return to a homecoming.
The 32-year-old actress played Alex Russo on the hit Disney Channel sitcom between 2007 and 2012, and Selena relished being involved with the new sequel series.
The brunette beauty told The Hollywood Reporter: “It did feel like going home.”
Selena also loved reuniting with David Henrie – her former co-star – for the sequel series.
She shared: “It was so funny because when I showed it to my mom, she literally just died laughing. She goes, ‘You two just still have it.’ Because I think we bring that out in each other.”
Selena was determined to support the show’s young cast, too.
She said: “I think the only thing I can provide is the love and support that they’re going to need during this time because hopefully it’s a life-changing experience.”

The actress – who is dating record producer Benny Blanco – told PEOPLE: “This is probably the most important thing I do with my time.”
Selena feels proud that she’s been able to help other people to “feel less alone”.
She said: “We’ve built a community with Rare and I’m so proud of that. We hopefully have helped people feel less alone and that’s all our goal has ever been.”

The pop star died in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 16, aged 31, and Balvin has now paid a glowing tribute to his showbiz pal, admitting that he’s been hit “really hard” by the news.
The ‘6 AM’ hitmaker told ‘Extra’: “He’s a great friend, because to me, he’s always going to be, you know, in spirit. He’s a great friend. He was always nice, humble, always smiling.
“I was checking a couple of pictures from, like, three years ago, we were performing in Mexico. So, it really hit me really hard because I’m an advocate of mental health, and seeing how he went to this dark moment, dark time … It’s just really sad, but it’s good to create the awareness around the world to, you know, take care of your mind.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Rodrigo would “love” to return to her acting roots one day.
The 21-year-old star has enjoyed huge success as a pop singer in recent years, but Olivia – who starred on the Disney Channel series ‘Bizaardvark’ between 2016 and 2019 – remains open to the idea of returning to acting.
Olivia – who also starred in ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’ – told The Hollywood Reporter: “I would love to do an acting role that has nothing to do with music.
“As much as I love music, I think it would be really cool to get to stretch a new muscle and do something completely different than what I’ve been doing for the past few years. I would love to do something like that, but who knows? The future is bright.”
Olivia loves that music is “so universal” and she’s thrilled that her tunes “resonate” with so many people of different ages.
The singer – who is currently in the midst of her Guts World Tour – shared: “It’s been so cool to see all the different age groups sing along, and there’s just a diverse group of people who come to the shows, and it’s so fun to get to look out and see them every night.
“Music is so universal. It reminds me how alike we all are. We’re so much more alike than we are different and a concert is a perfect example of that in real life.
“I hope that if you write from a place of honesty and vulnerability – [something] that most people have felt that in their lives before – hopefully [everyone] resonates with that. That’s my theory.”

The 44-year-old actor and Zoe, 35, have ended their engagement, and called time on their romance, after three years together.
Multiple sources have confirmed to PEOPLE that the celebrity duo have ended their relationship, after getting engaged in 2023.
Reps for Channing – who was previously married to actress Jenna Dewan – and Zoe have so far remained tight-lipped about their rumoured separation.
The news of their break-up leaked hours after Deadline reported that Channing and Zoe will work together on a new comedy movie called ‘Alpha Gang’. The film will also feature the likes of Dave Bautista, Lea Seydoux and Riley Keough.
Channing and Zoe previously worked together on the movie ‘Blink Twice’, which was released earlier this year. The psychological thriller film was actually Zoe’s directorial debut, while Channing had a starring role in the movie.
Zoe suffered some self-doubts while shooting the film – but she previously revealed that Channing was always on hand to offer her support.
The actress-turned-director – who is the daughter of music star Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet – told PEOPLE: “After the first day of filming, I was just like, ‘Oh, my God. I don’t know what I’ve gotten myself into.’ And then the edit process was very long, and the movie did not work, for a very long time.

The 21-year-old pop star has enjoyed a meteoric rise over recent years, and Olivia is now giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at her GUTS World Tour through a new concert film.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: “This has always been my dream, as evidenced by those home movies of me putting on shows to my stuffed animals. And I’m really grateful that it happened in this way and I get to live out my dream every night.
“It’s really special. I’m a very lucky girl.”
The chart-topping pop star hopes that her fans will enjoy ‘Olivia Rodrigo: GUTS World Tour’, which will air on Netflix.
Olivia said: “That’s what was really exciting to me about putting this on Netflix – people who maybe weren’t able to get a ticket are going to be able to watch it.
“Also, I think this movie shows some different perspectives and angles and it feels fresh and exciting even if you have watched it before.”
Olivia performed at much smaller venues on her first tour and the singer has admitted that they “felt so different”.
Olivia – who released her debut album, ‘SOUR’, back in 2021 – explained: “It was wildly different. My two tours, I feel like they’re not even comparable. They both felt so different.
“The SOUR Tour was super intimate and it was great. I’m really happy that I cut my teeth in touring with that kind of routing, but this tour was really big and I got to go to so many places that I’d never been to before and I was playing these bigger venues. And so it definitely stretched me as a performer, and I feel like I learned a lot and became a lot more confident as the shows went on.”
