Emma Willis to volunteer as maternity care assistant for 3 months for new show

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Willis is set to volunteer as a maternity care assistant for three months.
The ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ host has agreed to slip into a pair of scrubs and work the gruelling 12-hour day and night shifts for 12 weeks in the maternity unit at a hospital in the UK as part of a new documentary series ‘Emma Willis: Delivering Babies’.
The 42-year-old presenter will be responsible for admitting soon-to-be parents into the ward, taking blood pressure and assisting in birthing suites.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: “If I wasn’t doing my current job, I would have loved to work in a hospital. Blood, guts and the workings of the body have always fascinated me. I can’t wait to fully immerse myself in a busy maternity ward, alongside the truly incredible midwives and nurses who work there day in, day out.”
Emma is certainly no stranger to giving birth as she has been through the process three times herself with her own kids Isabelle, eight, Ace, six, and Trixie, 23 months, whom she has with her husband Matt Willis, but she has admitted there’s nothing she’d love more than to witness the birth of a baby from the “other end.”
She said earlier this year: “I want to deliver a baby, or at least see a delivery. I think it would be incredible to witness. I missed mine because I was at the other end. I need my little sister to have a baby, really. I could be her birthing partner.”
And the brunette beauty will no doubt settle into hospital life quite well if she takes after her mother Cathy Griffiths as she worked in a hospital for 40 years.
‘Emma Willis: Delivering Babies’ will be a six-part documentary and will air on the W Channel. An official launch date is yet to be announced.
