OHMYGOSSIP — Dec Donnelly is set to be joined by Craig David and Denise Richards for the ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’ finale.
The 42-year-old TV star will be back at the helm in Orlando, Florida next weekend, after he went solo on Saturday (31.03.18) after his presenting partner Ant McPartlin decided to check back into rehab after his drink-driving arrest, an offence he has now been charged with by police.
Now, he’s set to have two big names to help him through the last show of the series, with ‘Love, Actually’ actress Denise appearing as guest announcer, while ‘7 Days’ hitmaker Craig will DJ throughout the episode.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Saturday Night Takeaway are determined to make sure the series finishes on a high with some great personalities joining Dec for the grand finale.
“Denise and Craig are both household names and boast the required amount of star power for a TV event of this scale.
“Next week’s episode is on track to be even more amazing than last year’s send off at Disney World, even with just Dec at the helm.”
Dec was joined by Stephen Merchant and Paloma Faith over the weekend, while Scarlett Moffat and Stephen Mulhern had expanded roles on the show to help fill the gap left by Ant.
He has since thanked fans for “carrying him all the way through the show”.
He said: “It’s been the weirdest, weirdest show. But I wanted to say a huge, huge thank you to lots of people here. Most of all I just wanted to thank you guys.
“That reception when I came down the stairs … I wasn’t sure what was going to happen. I wasn’t sure how I was going to do or how you were going to react … but you carried me all the way through the show. I couldn’t have done it without you guys.”
