Ronan Keating is ‘an absolute mess’ after seeing son Jack on Love Island

OHMYGOSSIP — Ronan Keating is “an absolute mess” after seeing his son make his ‘Love Island’ debut.
The Boyzone star’s 23-year-old son Jack entered the villa on Friday (01.07.22) as a part of the ITV2’s annual Casa Amor twist and has been seen bonding with Gemma – the 19-year-old daughter of footballing legend Michael Owen – about their famous fathers, and Ronan admitted he’s finding it difficult seeing his boy on the dating series.
Appearing on BBC’s ‘The One Show’ on Monday evening (04.07.22), the 45-year-old pop star told hosts Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas: “I’m a mess, I’m an absolute mess.”
Ronan admitted that everyone at home – including his wife and Jack’s step-mum Storm Uechtritz, 40, and their two little ones, five-year-old son Cooper and two-year-old daughter Coco – really feels Jack’s absence.
He added: “I mean Storm is doing better than I am. We all miss him in the house, we really do, little brother Cooper and his little sister Coco and Missy, we all miss him.
“His episode last night, he seemed a little bit quiet, he seemed a little bit nervous, which is understandable I guess. I’m just worried about him in there with those other guys.”
Ronan detailed how his son had been in “lockdown” in Majorca before his first appearance so they had no communication with Jack – who is Ronan’s oldest with his ex Yvonne Connolly with whom he also has daughters Missy, 21, and Ali, 16 – for a while.
He said: “He’s been in Spain for a couple of weeks in lockdown, and we haven’t been able to talk to him.
“It’s been silence and then he appeared on the TV last night and it was really scary.”
In Sunday’s episode, Gemma – who is currently coupled up with Luca Bish – and Jack were spotted discussing how they had connections to the equestrian pursuits in common.
Jack told the brunette beauty: “My mum and my little sister are big into show jumping and everything like that. I know you’re big into it as well.”
Gemma responded: “Oh ok, oh wow! So your mum is a showjumper? So what does your dad do?”
Jack responded: “He’s a singer.”
Gemma prodded further, asking: “A well-known singer?”
Jack admitted: “Yeah he is, you know Ronan Keating? That’s the old man.”
They then went on to bond over both being “family-oriented”.
