James Buckley and his wife are writing an ‘honest’ book about family life

OHMYGOSSIP — James and Clair Buckley are penning a “hilarious” book on their family and life together.
The former ‘The Inbetweeners’ star and the ‘Vendetta’ star, both 34 – who share their life together with their two sons Harrison, 10, and Jude, eight, via their YouTube channel ‘At Home With the Buckleys’ – will display their “genuine humour and relatability” in the tome on all things family, showbiz and marriage.
Publisher Briony Gowlett told the Bookseller: “Like the thousands of other people who tuned in to Clair and James’ videos to get them through some of the grimmest points of lockdown, and continue to follow their content, I’ve loved watching how they tackle everything life throws at them – with genuine humour and relatability.
“Together they are a force and I’m excited to be working with such an incredibly talented and downright hilarious couple on their first book.”
James and Clair shared how “excited” to be working with Briony on their literary debut.
The couple said: “We are so excited to be working with Briony and the team at Radar on our first book! If you’re looking for a window into the glamorous, jet-set lifestyles of the rich and famous, then… well, you should probably pick something else to read.
“But we do have some great stories from when we were cool – you know, pre-kids – the sort that start with us backstage at the Stone Roses, eating chicken with Ian Brown.
“We still have some great stories post-kids, but they mainly start at the garden centre or the local soft play.
“Either way, we hope what we have created is a fun, honest little book about modern family life, with a clear message that, in the end, we’re all just working it out as we go along.”
The synopsis of the book – which is expected in September – reads: “Told from both sides, Clair and James share a collection of hilarious stories and comedy excursions from their early lives, years of cult TV fame, having children and setting up their YouTube channel.”
