‘Love Island’ girls ‘heading into Casa Amor for the first time in three years’ in latest show twist

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Love Island’ girls are reportedly heading into the show’s Casa Amor for the first time in three years.
Female castmates including Gemma Owen, 19, Paige Thorne, 24, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, 27, and Indiyah Polack, 23, are set to be told on Friday night’s (01.07.22) episode they are heading for cocktails, before instead being taken to the rival villa where they will be greeted by a new array of contestants hoping to tempt them away from their current partners.
A source told MailOnline Casa Amor will be “the girls’ holiday of their dreams”, which will leave the lads pondering whether their relationships will survive the test.
The TV insider added: “This year it’s all about the girls – they have kept the boys on their toes and will continue to do so by leaving the main villa and heading to Casa Amor.
“The new arrivals are ready to turn heads and for the first time in three years it will be the female stars of the show preparing to walk back into the villa with potentially a new man on their arm.
“It’s all to play for and the likes of Gemma and Luca’s relationship, as well as Jacques and Paige’s will be well and truly put to the test.”
In a first look at Friday’s episode, Indiyah informs the rest of the girls they are due to leave the villa.
She tells the group from a text: “Girls, it’s time to get the drinks flowing as you’re off for a girl’s night out #cocktailhour #shakesandstirred.”
The female cast were last sent to Casa Amor in 2019, when contestants included Maura Higgins, 31, Molly-Mae Hague, 23, and 24-year-old Amber Gill.
Friday’s episode will also see Charlie Radnedge, 28, and Antigoni Buxton, 26, face their fate after their fellow Islanders were tasked with choosing who to dump from the series.
Viewers, alongside Tasha Ghouri, 23, and Andrew Le Page, 27, as well as Jay Younger, 28, and Danica Taylor, 21, voted them least compatible.
Luca Bish, 23, is set to be worried about Gemma going into Casa Amor after he spent their first night in The Hideaway this week, with the teenage dressage rider later telling the girls he spent the night whispering romantic words in her ear.
Casa Amor’s comeback was announced on Thursday night’s (30.06.22) instalment of the dating show, and pictures of the revamped villa shows it features a terrace with pool, a smaller firepit than the other villa and a cosy sofa area in a rock wall under the neon Casa Amor sign.
‘Love Island’ airs at 9pm weekdays and Sundays on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
The dating reality show can be seen in Ireland on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player.
