OHMYGOSSIP — Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean won’t see the final two ‘Dancing on Ice’ pairings’ Boleros until the show’s final.
The ITV ice skating programme’s latest series will come to a conclusion on Sunday (27.03.22) with the last two couples in the finale – out of finalists Brendan Cole, Kimberley Wyatt and Regan Gascoigne and their pro skater partners – due to re-create Torvill and Dean’s iconic routine, but the performances are being kept a secret from the judges.
Christopher said: “They’ve been hiding them away from us. That’ll be the first we see it.”
While the third-placed pairing won’t get to show off their Bolero in the live final, Christopher revealed it will still be recorded and shown at some point.
He added: “They get to perform it on the Sunday and record it; so they will do it in some form and I think that gets released, but not live on the show.”
Christopher also admitted this year’s ‘Dancing on Ice’ series has been the “best” ever.
Speaking on ‘Good Morning Britain’, he added: “It’s been the biggest and best [series] I have to say.”
Torvill and Dean became household names when they won gold medals at the 1984 Winter Olympics for their iconic Bolero performance.
The pair recently admitted this year’s series has featured the “highest standard” of celebrity skaters than ever before.
Jayne said: “The masterclass we had back in October, was the most high standard we’ve had in any series.
“Certainly there were at least six that we have our eye on at the moment that could be winners.”
