OHMYGOSSIP — Graziano di Prima has tipped his fiancee Giada Lini to replace Oti Mabuse on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The BBC One Latin and ballroom show’s professional dancer has revealed his future wife, who works on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ in the US, is keen to join him on the show and would be the perfect replacement for Oti, who has quit after seven years.
In an interview with OK! Magazine, he said: “I don’t know! That’s up to the BBC. Obviously, I’ve got my fiancee, she’s a professional dancer. She’s been doing ‘Dancing With The Stars’ and her dream would be ‘Strictly’ as well. It would be my dream if it could be Giada…”
Giada agreed: “I’d love to share the stage with Graziano. I think it is one of the most beautiful shows, not just in the UK, but in the world. It’s a dream come true for every professional ballroom and Latin dancer.”
Graziano – who is dubbed The Italian Stallion – admitted he’s “sad” to see Oti go as she’s like a sister to him.
He said: “Oti is like my sister. We call each other two or three times a week. We are good friends – me and Giada and Oti and Marius [Iepure, Oti’s husband] go out for dinner. We’ll go over to their house. When I joined the show Oti was always there, we really connected and she supported me. She is such a brilliant dancer and a brilliant person. Her leaving makes me sad, but at the same time makes me feel so lucky that I had the chance to work with her for three years.”
Oti is a judge on ‘The Masked Dancer’ and ‘Dancing on Ice’ and Graziano gushed that she is “already shining”.
Asked if she is set for big things, he said: “Absolutely, she’s a star. She’s already shining. I’m going to miss spending time with her on ‘Strictly’, but I know I am going to spend time with her outside of it.”
