Stephen Mulhern at home ‘on doctors’ orders’

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephen Mulhern is “resting up on doctors’ orders”.
The 44-year-old presenter has reassured fans he is “on the mend” after sparking concern by going silent on social media and not appearing on ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’ since the first episode of the series on 19 February, when he dressed as former US President Donald Trump.
Thanking fans for their concern, Stephen took to Twitter on Saturday (12.03.22) and posted: “Hello all. Sorry I’ve been quiet on here recently and thank you for all your lovely messages.
“I’ve had some time off and been resting up on doctors orders. I’m on the mend, I’m happy to say, and looking forward to getting back to work soon. In the meantime I’ll put my feet up and watch Saturday Night Takeaway tonight with the rest of you lot.
“Please don’t miss me too much! Lots of love.”
Although the ‘In for a Penny’ host didn’t add any further detail about why he’s been out of the spotlight, insiders claim he has been in hospital for a “medical procedure” and is looking forward to joining Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly back on the ITV primetime show when he’s feeling better, though that could be some time away.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “Stephen went to hospital for a medical procedure, but has been discharged now and is focusing all his energy on his recovery.
“He’s hoping to return to the show as soon as he’s feeling better and well enough. He’s currently resting up and supporting the lads from home.”
