OHMYGOSSIP — Zora Bishop is set to join ‘Coronation Street’.
The ‘Unforgotten’ star – who is known for playing Emily Warlow in the crime drama – has agreed to join the long-running soap as Sabeen, the ex-wife of Imran Habeeb, as they join forces in the fight to protect their foster daughter Kelly Neelan when she stands trial for the murder of Seb Franklin alongside Corey Brent.
However, Sabeen will do more than just provide support during a difficult time.
Her appearance on the cobbles looks set to cause trouble between Imran and his current girlfriend Toyah Battersby – leaving him embroiled in a vicious love triangle, according to the Manchester Evening News.
No doubt viewers will be happy to hear of Sabeen’s comeback but it may raise a few eyebrows as the role was previously played by Avita Jay during her brief stint on-screen in August 2018.
Meanwhile, Zora isn’t the only new face to grace screens this year as former ‘Hollyoaks’ star Daniel Jillings – who played Billy Parker in the soap in 2018 – has also signed a contract with ‘Coronation Street’, as has fan favourite Lucy Dixon.
Lucy, 31 – who played Tilly Evans in ‘Hollyoaks’ from 2011 until 2014 – appeared on the cobbles as Danielle during a double bill that saw Curtis finally open up to his girlfriend about his secret heart condition.
Curtis didn’t go into too much detail about what condition he suffers from but he did reveal his heart has stopped “a couple of times” in the past.
