OHMYGOSSIP — Karamo Brown is “fully” single.
The 40-year-old TV star enjoyed a brief fling after splitting from his long-term partner Ian Jordan, but Karamo has revealed they’ve since parted ways and he’s returned to single life.
Karamo – who met his mystery love interest via Twitter after splitting from Ian earlier this year – said: “We’re no longer talking. Dating in COVID is a mess, and so that is done altogether. I’m just back to fully being single.”
The ‘Queer Eye’ star is ultimately eager to find someone who is “like-minded”.
However, he admits that finding love is proving to be tough.
He told Us Weekly: “I’m a hopeless romantic, and so for me, I’m always about like, how can I find someone who I can spend my moments and my time with? … You have to just find people who are like-minded [and] on the same page.”
Karamo first revealed his split from Ian in September, explaining that they’d initially halted their plans to get married because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The TV star – who has sons Jason and Chris – also suggested that they grew apart over time.
He shared: “It was postponed [their wedding] because of the pandemic, but now it’s actually postponed officially, because my fiance and I, we were together for 10 years, and we broke up about three and a half months ago.
“We were distracted by so much – with the kids, and our careers – that during that time, I had to really say, ‘How is our communication? How are other parts of our lives? Are we growing in the same place?'”
Karamo revealed that they’d tried counselling to salvage their relationship, but they ultimately decided to go their separate ways.
He said: “We went to virtual counselling, we did a lot of things. But eventually, I was like, ‘This is a moment where I need to decide, is my happiness important?’ And once I made that decision, I said, you know, ‘We are going to have to break up.'”
