OHMYGOSSIP — Susan Kelechi Watson has revealed she is “single” – just a year after getting engaged.
The ‘This is Us’ actress took to her Instagram Stories to celebrate Joe Biden’s US presidential victory, and admitted she thought being “single” this year would be “the only eventful thing to happen” to her.
Susan – who got engaged to Jaime Lincoln Smith last year – wrote: “And I thought becoming Single was gonna be the only eventful thing to happen to me this year TwentyTwenty. (sic)”
Jaime hasn’t commented on his relationship status on Instagram, but he did join in the congratulations to Biden and his Vice-President, Kamala Harris.
He shared a picture of Kamala, who made history over the weekend by becoming the first female, black Vice-President in the US, and he added the caption: “Period.”
Susan also wrote: “The Next President and Vice President of these United States!
JOE BIDEN and history maker KAMALA HARRIS!!! #bidenharris2020. (sic)”
The 38-year-old actress announced her engagement to Jaime in September 2019.
She wrote on Instagram at the time: “Forever Ever…
“Theyll say its love And they’ll know its love For when they call its name it will answer to love Without hesitation – me. (sic)”
And just two months later, Susan admitted she had a feeling Jaime would pop the question at some point.
Speaking in November 2019, she said: “I knew it was, like, gonna happen at some point, I didn’t know exactly when.
“He surprised me because he told me we were going to a cannabis festival – he wanted to throw me completely off.”
