Tina Fey and Eva Longoria — highest paid women on TV
Desperate Housewives might be on its way out, but Eva Longoria is nowhere close to filing for unemployment. Along with 30 Rock star Tina Fey, the actress is the highest paid woman on TV. Both Eva and Tina raked in $13 million between May 2010 and 2011. That’s $3 million more than the third runner up, Marcia Cross. This is all according to Forbes magazine. Gotta love how Forbes lets us know how much we’re paying our celebs.
So yes, another Desparate Housewives star was next on the list. Marcia Cross made $10 million, along with Law & Order: Special Victims Unit actress Mariska Hargitay and CSI’s Marg Helgenberger, who all made $10 million each. People love their crime shows.
‘Desperate Housewives’ stars Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman both made the list, too. The lovely ladies made $9 million from their roles, while ‘Cougar Town’s Courteney Cox and ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ actress Ellen Pompeo each raked in $7 million dollars.
The most surprising part of this story is that Cougar Town is still on the air.
The Good Wife star Julianna Marguiles came in tenth, earning only $6 million from the show. How embarrassing. Marguiles recently won the Best Actress Emmy for her role as politician’s wife Alicia Floret in the series.
