Amy Smart, Carter Oosterhouse get married

American actress Amy Smart married her fiancé Carter Oosterhouse yesterday at a private ceremony in Traverse City, Michigan. Smart wed the HGTV host in front of over 200 guests while wearing a Carolina Herrera gown.

The couple met at a charity event in November 2010, and announced their engagement in April earlier this year.

Smart is best known for her recurring role on Showtime’s Shameless, but also had parts in films such as Starship Troopers and Crank: High Voltage.

“We feel so excited and blessed to celebrate this happy day with our family and friends,” the couple told Us Weekly in a joint statement.

Smart recently revealed that Oosterhouse had planned most of the event himself so she could keep relaxed in the lead-up to the wedding.
