OHMYGOSSIP — Samantha Giles has been hallucinating about a smurf as she battles tonsillitis.
The ‘Emmerdale’ actress has been keeping her fans up to date throughout her illness, and she has revealed how “delirious” she became over the weekend as she thought she saw one of the small blue children’s TV characters.
She tweeted: “So I DO have tonsillitis….. what a bore. Good old penicillin will hopefully sort me out.
“Did I mention over the weekend I was delirious and terrified of the smurf in my bedroom who was trying to talk to me. I never did understand what he said. (sic)”
It seems the 47-year-old star – who first played Bernice Blackstock on the soap back in 1998 – has been trying to battle through the illness for work.
She wrote over the weekend: “Been suffering again today bad sore throat… when will it ever end??! Still at least I can hear now. Off to bed with night nurse as am in work tomorrow……”
Last month, Samantha encouraged her followers and fans to be “proud” of their natural looks after her character on ‘Emmerdale’ was hospitalised following a Botox disaster.
Bernice suffered an allergic reaction to internet-bought Botox injections after being pressured to have them before her 50th birthday by troublesome teen Leanna Cavanagh (Mimi Slinger).
But the star took to Twitter to thank viewers for tuning in, and posted an unfiltered selfie to show she doesn’t have any facial paralysis in real life.
At the time, Samantha wrote: “Thanks for watching this story folks- as you can see no paralysis and #nofilter be proud of your lines! (sic)”
