Phillip Schofield to co-host ITV royal wedding coverage

OHMYGOSSIP — Phillip Schofield will co-host ITV’s coverage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding with Julie Etchingham.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter and the 48-year-old newsreader will bring all the latest coverage from the royal wedding on May 19, as the couple tie the knot at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
Phillip said: “So happy to be back with Julie, my Royal Wedding partner (we don’t get to work together very often) and the brilliant team at ITV News. Put your hat on, we’re going to have a party!”
Julie added: “I’m delighted to be working on the Royal Wedding – and teaming up again with Philip, just as we did in 2011 and for the Diamond Jubilee.
“It’ll be a day of big celebrations not only in Windsor but around the country – and it’ll be huge fun capturing the spirit of a great British occasion.”
The pair will be bringing the latest updates from a pop-up studio on The Long Walk in Windsor.
Phillip and Julie will be interviewing guests who are connected to Harry and Meghan.
Mary Nightingale will also be reporting live outside Windsor Castle, and will bring all the latest from fashion experts and royal commentators, whilst James Mates will report from inside the wedding venue.
International correspondent Rageh Omaar will be joined by the charity Prince Harry co-founded, Sentebale, as the proceedings unfold.
He’ll be reporting live in African country Lesotho from the Mamohato Children’s Centre, where he will be joined by staff and youngsters who have benefited from the work of the 33-year-old royal’s charity.
Catherine Ferrier, the CEO of Sentebale, said: “Sentebale have enjoyed working with ITV on a number of occasions since the charity was established in 2006, most recently for the documentary ‘Prince Harry in Africa’ in 2016.
“We are therefore delighted to have this opportunity to partner once more to mark the very special occasion of Sentebale’s Co-Founding Patron, Prince Harry, to Ms Meghan Markle.”
‘Harry and Meghan – The Royal Wedding’ will go live at 9.25am until 3pm.
