OHMYGOSSIP — Iain Lee cried “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Outta Here!” after he fell down a wishing well.
The 44-year-old comedian and ‘I’m a Celeb’ contestant was nearly forced to cancel his TalkRadio show on Thursday (29.03.18) after he threw money into a well but it got wedged in the wall.
Iain decided the best option was to abseil down but when the rope snapped he plummeted to the bottom and was unable to get himself out, but he managed to entertain himself on Twitter detailing what happened.
After being rescued by 20 firefighters – after waiting two hours – Iain was able to make it on time to his radio show and explained in more detail about his ordeal.
Iain – who has recently split from his wife Helena, whom he shares two children – said: “I’m stood at this well and I’ve got a 20 pence piece and I thought I’d make a wish because things have been – with my mental health and marriage – things haven’t been great and I thought I needed a bit of luck.
“You know what I did? I’m such an idiot. I’m so embarrassed. What I did first of all was try to reach it leaning in head first.
“So there’s the rope with the bucket, I’m testing and pulling it and I think it’s going to take my weight and I go in feet first and…. I fell into the well. The water went up to just below my knee.”
Iain continued and said how the firefighters were “p***ing themselves” with laughter when they rescued him from the wishing well in Milton Keynes.
He said: “The firefighters were p***ing themselves laughing. Man alive you should’ve seen their faces when they pulled me out and realised I was that guy from the jungle.”
