Bruno Tonioli says returning to Strictly Come Dancing is ‘impossible’

OHMYGOSSIP — Bruno Tonioli says coming back to ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ is “impossible”.
The ‘Dancing With the Stars’ judge ruled out returning to the BBC One Latin and ballroom competition’s judging panel – which includes Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and his replacement Anton Du Beke – in the future, labelling it “too complicated” with his commitments to the star-studded dancing show across the pond.
After being on ‘Strictly’ for 18 years, the 66-year-old dancer told MailOnline: “Well I always will miss it, it’s my family, but I mean we’ll always be friends and you never know what’s going to happen.
“At the moment, you know it’s just as impossible, you know the situation is too complicated but they’re all my brothers and sisters, we’re all loving each other, you know, no hard feelings, they’re great, they do a great job.”
Bruno – who is joined on the ABC dancing competition by former ‘Strictly’ head judge Len Goodman – shared that he couldn’t “do the travel” each week between Los Angeles and London.
He said: “You know what’s going to happen, no one knows what’s going to happen in the future, but at the moment I do the American show but I can’t do the travel, it’s impossible.”
The television personality admitted he often doesn’t recognise the big names who compete on the show – whose previous contestants include teen sensation JoJo Siwa, conservationist Bindi Irwin and cheerleading coach Monica Aldama – and he leans on Len for assistance, but actually likes it that way as “you don’t have any preconceived ideas” about them.
Anton – who was confirmed as Bruno’s replacement in May after working on the show, largely as a pro dancer, since its 2004 debut – labelled his permanent position on the panel as “brilliant news”.
The 56-year-old star said: “This is brilliant news. Everyone knows how much I absolutely love the show and I’m utterly delighted to be continuing as a regular judge.”
