OHMYGOSSIP — Lewis Capaldi is more self-conscious about who he dates because of fame.
The ‘Someone You Loved’ hitmaker confessed that stardom has made finding a relationship more difficult and has made him wary of potential partners.
Lewis said: “Dating is harder now because people know who I am. I’m more self-conscious about going on dates than I was before.”
The 24-year-old singer revealed that he would be attracted to a girl who microwaves a “greasy” takeaway with their top off.
In a Q&A in conjunction with Peperami Chicken Bites, Lewis explained: “Nothing is more attractive than someone who also enjoys greasy food at three in the morning, microwaved, with their top off. That’s a beautiful thing and a beautiful thing we can share.”
The Scottish songwriter also revealed that his ideal date would involve getting hungover at the pub.
Lewis remarked: “My best date would be pub, lager, crisps and hungover. We order a Chinese the next day, done.”
Capaldi also revealed that he believes that food is a key element to finding love.
He explained: “I do believe in love at first bite. You can learn a lot about someone from the way they cook. Some people cook lovely meals and are lovely people. Others cook horrible meals and are horrible people.”
However, the ‘Before You Go Singer’ confessed that he has never cooked for a girl as he lacks the skills.
He said: “I’ve never cooked for a girl to impress her. I do not cook very well and don’t have the necessary skills to do so.”
The star admitted that he would never judge a date on what they have eaten.
Lewis said: “I’ll never judge a date on what they have eaten. You stay on that side of the table, you eat your stuff. I’ll stay on this side and eat my stuff and never the twins shall meet.”
