Rolling Stones sell out Hyde Park in minutes

OHMYGOSSIP — The Rolling Stones’ upcoming Hyde Park summer gig has sold out in less than five minutes, despite the cheapest tickets costing £95.

The Rolling Stones sold out their Hyde Park show in less than five minutes. The concert will be the legendary rockers’ – made up of Ronnie Wood, Keith Richards, Sir Mick Jagger and Charlie Watts – first performance at the London venue for 44 years and both fans and touts snapped up the tickets, which were priced at £95.

Some are being sold to punters via secondary sites with some in the so-called ‘Diamond Circle’ selling for over £8,000.

A spokesman said: “60,000 people have bought £95 tickets and will … get there early for the chance to be at the front. It’s what the Stones wanted.

“There are a small number of people who have bought VIP packages which have been sold and resold several times. We are disappointed as the ‘Diamond Circle’ on the ticket website’s map suggests it is at the front of the stage. It’s not – it is to one side.”

This set-up is apparently part of the band’s plan to allow them to see the die-hard fans up close.

The spokesman added: “They’re called hospitality packages. We have no golden or diamond circles.

“Mick, Keith and Ronnie want to look out at the crowd and see the £95 fans in front.”
