Shonda Rhimes’ beauty teams honoured

OHMYGOSSIP — The hair, makeup and wardrobe teams behind Shonda Rhimes’ shows were feted during a star-studded bash in Los Angeles.

Allure and MaxMara threw a party at the label’s Rodeo Drive store in Beverly Hills where Shonda was joined by stars from her shows including ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, ‘Scandal’ and ‘How To Get Away With Murder’ as they celebrated their beauty teams.

‘Scandal’s Jeff Perry made a toast, saying: “Us actors, we hog the attention and I just want to say this idea, wherever it started, is brilliant and we need to have one every four months. God bless you guys. Hair, wardrobe and makeup, thank you.”

And Bellamy Young revealed her character’s fondness for bright clothes had changed how she dresses in real life.

She told WWD: “I often ask [‘Scandal’ costume designer] Lyn Paolo for her advice. I’m very New York-minded and very ‘black is black’. But I so enjoyed having all the bright power colours with Mellie on the show that I’ve started buying that stuff.”

Kerry Washington, Tony Goldwyn, Ellen Pompeo, Darby Stanchfield, Liza Weil, Scott Foley, Camilla Luddington and Katie Lowes were among the stars who attended the bash.
