Duchess of Cornwall selling honey from her garden

OHMYGOSSIP — Duchess Camilla is selling honey made by bees in the garden of her country home Ray Mill House in order to raise money for the charity Medical Detection Dogs.

The 67-year-old royal – who celebrated her 10th wedding anniversary with husband Prince Charles lately – is selling honey made by bees in her country garden for £20 per jar.

Camilla is selling the jars of jam through the luxury department store Fortnum & Mason in London.

A statement reads: “Each jar is individually labelled and contains carefully crafted and delicately perfumed nectar with subtle hints of chamomile, making it the ideal accompaniment to ice cream on hot summer days, or for sweetening tea.”

Each year the bees will provide the honey for 250 jars, with all proceeds going to a charity close to her heart, Medical Detection Dogs, for which she has been a patron since February last year.

The honeybees live at Duchess Camilla’s Wiltshire home, Ray Mill House, which is just a short drive from the Highgrove home she shares with Charles.

Fortnum & Mason CEO Ewan Venters added: “We have four beehives housed on our roof at Piccadilly and a dedicated beekeeper who nurtures and protects our bees to produce incredible honey that is stocked on our shelves. The Duchess’ honey is a more than welcome addition, and one I’m certain our customers will love.”
