OHMYGOSSIP — Music has the ability to move us in ways nothing else on Earth can. It has an ability to induce feelings, moods and states of mind.
Sometimes, you don’t get to choose when you are captivated by a melody, especially when you get flash mobbed (when a group of people appear in one location unexpectedly and usually put on some sort of rehearsed performance) by 100 people from the Vallès Symphony Orchestra, the Lieder, Amics de l’Òpera and Coral Belles Arts choirs.
Well, at least, that’s what happened to some people at Placa de Roc in Sabadell, Spain, on Banco Sabadells 130th anniversary.
What people imagined was going to be a quiet evening out, turned into a magical moment filled with beautifully composed music. To be exact, it was Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony.
It started out with a single cellist playing the opening notes in the street, looking like a typical street performer. Then, a little girl walks up and leaves him a tip.
But what happens next is something that will forever be remembered by those lucky enough to be there in that exact moment.
The campaign, “Som Sabadell” (We are Sabadell), was assembled by the creative agency Remake.
